According to a news release from the Manchester NH Police Department, a tow truck operator called police to report a threat that was made while he was checking vehicles for parking stickers. He told officers he is contracted to do so and if a car didn’t have a parking sticker, he was able to tow them.

WFXT reported that while the tow truck operator was checking the vehicles, a man, later identified as Michael Kenney, 43, was sitting in one of the cars and then allegedly jumped out at him.

Kenney apparently yelled “peek-a-boo,” which was followed by an expletive. He then allegedly pointed a gun at the tow truck operator, MNHPD said. The tow truck operator told officers he hid behind cars to shield himself.

MNHPD said Kenney was arrested and charged with criminal threatening with a deadly weapon.

No further information has been released.
