Una casa de jengibre inspirada en la residencia McCallister de la película “Home alone” batió un récord Guinness por ser la casa de jengibre más grande del mundo. Disney la construyó en Hollywood para celebrar el 35 aniversario de la película.

Se celebró una ceremonia especial presentada por Carter Oosterhouse de “The Great Christmas Light Fight” con un representante de Guinness. Mide 10,3 metros de largo, 17,7 metros de ancho y más de 6,7 metros de alto.

Su construcción duró ocho días. Se utilizaron más de 3.175 kilogramos de harina... más de 6.600 huevos... 4.200 ladrillos de jengibre... 1.800 tejas... y 75 litros de pegamento comestible.

Si se encuentra en el área de Los Ángeles, estará abierta al público de 16:30 a 21:00 en la esquina de Hollywood y Vine. También hay réplicas de vehículos en exhibición, como la furgoneta de Harry y Marv y un coche de reparto de Little Nero’s Pizza.
